Abstract

                The main purposes of this thesis are 1) to study a problem of elderly people  at Ban Wah sub-district Muang district Khon Kaen province 2) An applying Buddhist Buddha Dhamma for using in daily life of the elderly group at Ban Wah sub-district Muang district Khon Kaen province. This is qualitative research by an analysis of descriptive data and field  research by interview model. Result of the study, found these followings.

                  The elderly people are persons who get old by the state of age to change from string into weak, etc. The state of their mind is decreased from wisdom. The state of their society is also decreased from their duties. Their immunities and their intelligent are decreased also. By the present, there are old club to do activities together. While, they live Ban Wah sub-district get also the elderly problems. These many problems are  family and society, mind, and the problem for practice insight-meditation.

            They practice surely by themselves toward their family, body and mind for solving the problems in daily life. They practice by themselves to attain the fact or the Buddhist Core Teaching which can help them using the life to be happily. They can apply the Buddha Dhamma for using in daily life. These are ;  (1) the Three Characteristics which have impermanence ; transiency state of suffering and not-self (2) The Four Noble Truths ; suffering or problems, the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path leading to the cessation of suffering (3) they believe merit and evil/ actions that if some does good and he will go to haven, but if some does bad he will go to hell, and they hurry up to practice dãna sila and bãvanã (4) the sublime states of mind ; they have loving-kindness to their family and they practice to be suit (5) they practice themselves in the Five Precepts- the five ennobling virtues, such as, to abstain from killing, to abstain from intoxicants while they have loving-kindness for all, and good conduct (6) the causes of ruin; they do not concern the gamble, for example lottery (7) the bases of sympathy; they can help elderly people, say good advice, do public merit and practice themselves sufficiency, Above, they practice by foundations of mindfulness with consider often for the contemplation of the body, felling, mind and mind-object. This practice can solve the problems, such as, problem of family, problem of health and problem of mind. Therefore, descendant could understand and practice to them that some give, and some can not give, such as, abstain form intoxicants, soft exercising, saying good to mind, give loving-kindness and respect them are cared both health and mind.
