Abstract

The aim of this research was to propose the learning administration process on sufficiency economy philosophy in multicultural society of monks in Sangha Administration Region 17.  The integrated research methods were used in the study starting from collecting the data from documents and research works, from 234 samples by questionnaires, in-depth interviews with 15 administrative monks, and focus group discussions with experts for examining and approving the learning administration process on sufficiency economy philosophy in multicultural society of monks in Sangha Administration Region 17.

The results of the study found that:

1. The state of learning management on sufficiency economy philosophy of the monks in Sangha Administration Region 17 was at a high level overall. Providing knowledge and implementation were on the highest level, and learning management support was at a high level.

2. Development of learning management on sufficiency economy philosophy in the multicultural society must be developed in 3 aspects: 1) The application of the Middle Path (Macchimapatipada) in supporting the sufficiency economy philosophy in living with modesty, rationality and good immunity, 2) Practical sufficiency economy philosophy management by creating students’ motivation, finding local learning resources, setting sample communities, and verification, 3) Learning in a multicultural society must be aware of different cultural diversity, pride in the cultural identity and significance of each culture. Learning management amid the differences was based on exchange and respects each other by culture.

3. The process of learning management on sufficiency economy philosophy in multicultural society of the monks in Sangha Administration Region 16 was approved in appropriateness and applicability in operation as follows: 1) Sufficiency Economy Philosophy provided knowledge according to the principles of the Middle Path in Buddhism, 2) Application in real life, 3) Learning management Support, and 4) Relation in the multicultural society for balanced and sustainable development and advantages to multicultural society, mind, economics, society, culture, individuals and families, communities, business sectors, natural resources, environment and technology.
