Buddhist Health Promotion: A Case Study of Administrative Monks in the County of Bangkok

Abstract

 

The Dissertation has three main objectives i.e.; 1) to study health promotion of administrative monks in the county of Bangkok 2) to study Buddhadhamma for Buddhist health promotion of administrative monks in the county of Bangkok 3) to study Buddhadhamma integration for Buddhist health promotion of administrative monks in the county of Bangkok. It was mixed method research.

It was found that the most administrative monks are healthy with average medium (“X” = 3. 20 S.D. = 0. 95). The most problem is the environmental health (“X” = 3. 15 S.D. = 0. 56), and also the health of body (“X” = 3. 36. S.D. = 038). But the Mental health is good average, (“X” = 3. 71, S.D. = 0. 56) and the health of social relationship is also good average (“X” = 3. 67. S.D. = 0. 55).

Buddhist health promotion of administrative monks in the county of Bangkok is Buddhadhamma integration consists of Bhāvanā 4, Itthipāda 4, Āyussadhama 5 and Holistic health of the World Health Organization. The guideline of Buddhist health promotion of administrative monks in the county of Bangkok is (1) Subject (2) Opportunity (3) Management (4) Complement (5) Happiness (6) Awareness (7) Training.
