Abstract

     This thesis has 3 objectives: 1) to study the concept and theory of Time Management, 2) to study the Buddhist teachings about time management, and 3) to analyze the Buddhist methods for time management in order to develop the quality of life. This thesis was done by the means of qualitative-research . The researcher will study about time management in Buddhist teaching in Tipitaka Canon and Atthakatha ,texts and research. From the research, it is found the following:

     On the Buddhist view, time is describe as a continue from the past to the present and the action that conduct the activities in the guidelines called ‘Karma’. Karma is  an important continuing,called accumulation. It called the past, a present and a future. Buddhism teach all of us to be  precaution a good Karma.

     An analytical Study of the Buddhist methods for time management. A concept of time management describe about time managing to achieve the work effectiveness. And describe about the cause that is the root of time management uncontrolled and uneffectiveness. A researcher mainly looking for daily life works time management. But Buddhism looks to develop a holistic life. A study of Buddha and Buddhist disciples to know the time management  methods. When they realize the reality of life from the activities and suffering in daily life and feel bored,then prefer to find the absolute truth. They intend to achieve the goal to success. The way is practice a Dhamma contributing to enlightenment. When finished a practice to enlightened, They devoted the whole life to serve the humanity. The desire is to teach the human to understand the truth of life and faith to develop the life to feel free.

     An analytical of Buddhist methods for Time Management is to study a Buddha’s  teachings to manage a time by describe from ‘Bhavana 4’ the law of Life’s developed and the time management  methods that impact the social, total 5 ways. it is found the following, ‘Buddhadhamma’ is a teaching of the Buddha  and his aim    is to benefit for monks  and layperson. A multi level of goal from daily life mindfulness to feel free from suffering. The Buddhas teachings about time management in physical is ‘Indriya’ the five sense-faculties, ‘Bala’ five powers, ‘Ditthadhammikattha-sanvattanika

-dhamma’ four virtues conducive to benefits in the present, ‘Bhogavibhàga’ fourfold division of money,‘Bhoga-àdiya benefits which one should get from wealth. A time management in behavior, ‘Panca-sila’ the five precepts, ‘Panca-dhamma’the five ennobling virtues,‘Iddhipàda’ four paths of accomplishment,‘Kàlanyutàknowing the proper time, ‘Padhàna’ four efforts. A time management in mental, ‘Abhinhapaccavekkhana five ideas to be constantlyreviewed,‘Appamàda’ perfection of heedfulness, ‘Maranassati’ mindfulness of death, ‘Upaññātadhamma’  two virtues realized or ascertained by the Buddha himself. A time management in wisdom, ‘Sikkhà’ the threefold learning, Bahupakàra-dhamma’ virtues of great assistance, ‘Tilakkhana’ the three characteristics, ‘Attha’ three benefit, ‘Ariyasacca’ the four noble truths. A time management in social, ‘Disà six directions quarters, ‘Kula-ciraṭṭhiti-dhamma’  reasons for lastingness of a wealthy family, ‘Nàthakarana-dhamma’ virtues which make for protection, ‘Vajjã-aparihàniyadhamma things leading never to decline but only to prosperity, ‘Ràja-sangahavatthu’: a ruler’s bases of sympathy. And the Buddha teachings are adversary of time management is free from such unprofitableness as dilatoriness and tardiness work, ‘Apàyamukha’ six causes of ruin, ‘Akusala-mula’ unwholesome roots, ‘Mahicchatāgreediness, ‘Asantuṭṭhi contentment, ‘Nivaràna’ five hindrances

,‘Màra’ the evil one.

     Buddha’s teaching about a time management to the layperson can be described as time management in physical, behavior, mental, wisdom and social. The model of monk and layperson that achieve the goal of time management in Buddhist teachings is They manage a time to work for live, the basic desire is four factors for living and practice threefold Training ‘Tisikkha’,morality, concentration and wisdom and training in higher mentality for higher wisdom for mindfulness and wisdom. And the life of devote and experience to serve a humanity through various forms, For example, teaching, found a foundation, managing a university . to serve the social to worldwide for humanity

                 Conclusion, An Analytical Study of the Buddhist Methods for Time  Management is the way of life for monks and layperson. To effectiveness managing the time in whole life for happiness and feel free from suffering. The Buddhist Methods for Time Management is the path that everybody should know and practice to the goal of enlightenment and to be free
