Abstract

        This dissertation entitled ‘Buddhist Integrated Lifestyle of Older Person in Thai Society in the Next Two Decades’ has three objectives:  1) to study the lifestyle of the older person in Thai society today and trends in the next two decades, 2) to study the principles of life of the older person in Thai society today and trends in the next two decades, and 3) to integrate Buddhist principles into the lifestyle of elder people in the next two decades. This research was a qualitative research. The research methods based on the future methodology was used to analyze the trend (based on the research result by the institute for Population and social research) and Scenario (based on the research result by the Health Promotion Foundation) was used. The participatory observation and non-participant observation along with the in-depth interview and focus group: 1) the older person, (2) government agencies, 3) Buddhist scholarly experts, and 4) the role model of the older people in quality of life.
