Abstract
The purposes of this research were; (1) to study the knowledge related to general literatures and literatures related to the Buddhist teachings (2) to study the literatures related to the Buddhist teachings and (3) to analyze the principle of Buddhist teachings in the literatures entitled Loung Por Thong in Wat Bot. This research was the qualitative research as follows:
The results of research were found that the literatures mean the written documents, notwithstanding, they may not be in the completeness or any means the retold stories or reading for relaxation. The novels related to the history mean the novel saying about the actors. While the Buddhist literatures of Thais appear as the written documents in the first time in the period of Sukhothai, period of Phor Khunramkamhaeng, the Great. The Buddhist literatures can be divided in two periods, that is, before accepting the influence of literatures form the West beginning from Sukhothai to the beginning of King Rama 4, Siam Kingdom and after accepting the influence of literature from the West from the period of King Rama 5 of Siam Kingdom.
For the Buddhist literatures entitled Loung Phor Watbot, their essences are the life-stories based on the Buddhist teachings. There are a lot of the religious places, enhancing the Buddhists and inheriting the Buddhist teachings. To proceed the lives of the actors must face the happiness, dissatisfaction, to have good luck, bad luck, to have dignity or loss of dignity to have praise and gossip, love, greed, hatred and delusion that are the defilements. They may occur in anybody. They are deep with the principle of Dhamma and the essences are the literal tricks for the readers for creations.
The Buddhist literature entitled Loung Phor Thongwatbot is the value to individual, that is, the literatures gives the benefits towards individuals who are ones of the society. This indicates the condition of the life of human beings in the society and the artificial experience of life in various aspects, to provoke the consciousness of the society, to culture the attitude to the society, to enhance the readers who are the unity of the society to accept those opinions and to have the guideline of thought with the society, namely the morality, the fame of tradition and various Dhamma that results in the wisdom used for practice in daily life or to change the human beings’ behaviors.
