A Study of Early Intervention of Special Education in Accordance with the Four Sangahavatthu at Lower Northern ,Group 5

Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

The objectives of this study were 1) to study overview of early intervention according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV)of Special Education Center in the lower northern region, Group 5, 2) to compare the opinions towards early Intervention according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region, Group 5 as classified by personal factors, and 3) to recommend approaches for developing of early intervention according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region, Group 5. The population sample consisting of 180 person included 5 administrators, 86 teachers, and 89 personnel. This study was a descriptive research. The instruments used to gather quantitative data were questionnaires as rating scale with reliability of 0.97. The qualitative data was gathered from key informants by in-depth interview. The statistical analyses used were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. In order to compare the opinions, One-way ANOVA test using LSD (Least Significant Difference) were applied.Moreover recommendations on development from the questionnaires and the in-depth interview data were concluded by analyzing and synthesizing.

 

The findings of the research were found that:

1) The Overview of early intervention according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region, (Group 5), a whole and each aspect were at high level. Considering each aspect by ranging from the highest to the lowest mean scores was Atthacariya, Dana, Samanattata, and Piyavaca, respectively.

2) The results of comparing the opinions towards early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region (Group 5) as classified by educational level was found that there was no statistical difference. However the opinions towards early intervention according to theFour Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region (Group 5) as classified by age and work position were found that there were significant differences (significant level of 0.05).

3) Recommendations on approaches for developing of early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) of Special Education Center in the lower northern region (Group 5) had 4 aspects. The early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) based on Dana of administrators,teachers, and personnel need to have sacrifice and devotedly caring to disabled child. The early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) based on Piyavaca, administrators, teachers, and personnel need to speak politely and sincerely. The early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) based on Atthacariya, administrators, teachers, and personnel need to behave consistently and succor other persons as possible. The early intervention  according to the Four Bases of Sympathy (Sangahavatthu IV) based on Samanattata, administrators, teachers, and personnel need to succor other persons regularly and willingly.
