Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

             The objectives of this research were 1) to study the role abbots toward  monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province, 2) to study the comparison of the opinions of the people towards the role abbots toward monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province , 3) to study the problems , obstacles and suggestions about the role abbots toward monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province. The research methodology was the mixed method between the quantitative and qualitative methods. The sampling group of this research was 379 people in Srisathong Sub-District, khonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province. The tool used for data collection was in depth interview and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and the data from in depth interview and classified the data grouping for analysis through content analysis technique.

             The findings of this research were as following :

             1. The level of opinions of the people towards the role abbots toward  monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District, Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province and found that it was at high level for overall (3.94).

             2. The results of analysis about comparison of the opinions of the people towards the role abbots toward monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District, Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province, classified by personal data in overall found that that the people who had the differences of Gender, age, Status ,Education and Career. They had the different opinions to the opinions of the people towards the role abbots toward  monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District, Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province by significantly statistics at 0.05.

             3. The Problems, obstacles about  the role abbots toward monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province in overall found that  master plan for some temples was not ready, buildings were narrow and inconvenient for parking the cars and did not know the temple activities because they did not have the public relations and small budget for the anti-drug campaign in the temples

             Recommendations about the role abbots toward  monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province, found that in the future they should have the new plan and should have the officials to clean the temple and have the public relations or having the labels  and support the monks have the education and teach the monks and novices to follow the Dhamma and Vinnaya including assigning and motivating the troubled ones and teach the risky people for drug consumption.

             4. Guidelines for supporting the role abbots toward monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District, Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province in overall found that the role abbots toward  monastery development as the community of learning center in Srisathong Sub-District,  Nakhonchaisri District, Nakhonpathom Province in four aspects such as places and buildings, temple activities, works and check and evaluation must have the learned people to get the success as expected.
