Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

             The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the opinions of the people to Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province, 2) to study the comparison of the opinions of the people to Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn Muang District, Suphanburi province, classified by personal factors,  3) to study the problems , obstacles and suggestions about the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province. The research methodology was the mixed method research between quantitative research by collecting the data from the questionnaires and qualitative research by collecting the data from in depth interview. The sampling group was 400 people, who came to visit at Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province by accidental sampling. The tool used for data collection was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and test the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD by setting statistically significant at the 0.05 level and opened questionnaires about problems, obstacles and suggestions the guideline about the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province and setting the group data of opened questionnaires for analysis by using the frequency and the data from in depth interview  for analysis through content analysis technique.   

 

The findings of this research were as following :

               1. The opinions of the questionnaires respondents to Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn Muang District, Suphanburi province in the overall were at high level(X=4.03).  When considered in each side, found that it was also at the high level. 

               2. The results of analysis about comparison of the  opinions of the questionnaires respondents to Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province, found that the people who responded the questionnaires  that had the differences of gender and general education, they had the opinions to the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province indifferently, But  the  people who responded the questionnaires  that had the differences of age , occupation and income per month,  they had the opinions to the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn Muang District, Suphanburi province differently by statistically significance at the 0.05 level.

               3. The Problems, obstacles of the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province   , found that the Palalaiworaviharn Temple did not sometimes have enough flowers, incense sticks and candles due to many tourists came, and lacked of improving some religious buildings for tourists and the people did not understand and used the men’ toilet and women’ toilet correctly and it made the toilet dirty.

4. Suggestions about the Development for Buddhist Tourism of Wat Palelaiworaviharn  Muang District, Suphanburi province, found that the Palalaiworaviharn Temple should increase and expand more tourist places to welcome the tourists, shops and food center of temple should be added or good service for more tourists promotion, for the religious places should be checked and improved continuously.
