Abstract

 

              The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province, 2) to study the  relationship between the personal factors and the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions for the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province.

          This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample was 366 people being the member of the farmer credit cards. The tools of the research were questionnaire and in-Depth interview from the 7 key informants. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics for analysis data used Frequencies, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Chi-Square test.

 

Results of the Research

 

              1. Overall, the level of the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province was at the middle level (=3.17). When considering each aspect, it was found that the capital factor was at the highest level (=3.33). Then, the production factor was (=3.29), the marketing factor was (=3.25), and the social factor was (=3.10). However, the management factor was at the lowest level (=2.91).

 

2. The relationship between the personal factors and the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province found that the people having the different gender, age, degree of education, period of the member of the bank, income per year and a number of members of the family had no the relationship to the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. 

 

              3. The problems and obstacles of the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province were that the financial institution responded to the demand of the farmers slightly. The farmers might borrow the money from the capitalists in the local or the loan outside the system. The farmer had no a lot of the land, the water source in the cultivation, the seeds and the good animals in the careers. The fertilizer was poor. The price of the fertilizer was more expensive. The farmers had no knowledge in marketing, and price and marketing mechanism. Moreover, the middleman had the influence in pricing.

          The suggestions for the good management for solving problem in unpaying the credit cards of the farmers at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives in Chum Ta Bong District, Nakhon Sawan Province were that the government should support the money sufficient to the demand of the farmers by the financial institution releasing the credit to the farmers thoroughly, allocate the land for the farmers in the career, support the seeds and animals, control the fertilizer distribution of the merchants and the price of the products fairly, and specify the punishment serious and strict to the capitalists . Moreover, the farmers should cultivate the plants suitable to the land for decreasing the water using.
