Abstract

 

              The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of the Quality of registration service and identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province, 2) to compare the quality of registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and ways for the development of the registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province.

          This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample was 377 people living in Chum Saeng Municipality, Nakhon Sawan Province. The tools of the research were questionnaire and in-depth interview from the 7 key informants. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics for analysis data used Frequencies, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and F-test with One-way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD.

 

 

Results of the Research

 

              1. Overall, the level of the quality of registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province was at the middle level(=3.35). When considering each aspect, it was found that the service process was at the highest level (= 3.64). Then, the staff was (= 3.37), and the facilities and places health was (= 3.25). However, the public relations was at the lowest level (= 3.24).

 

2. The comparison of the quality of registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province by classifying on the personal factors found that the people having the different gender, age, degree of education, occupation and income had no the different opinion to the quality on the registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. 

 

 

              3. The problems of the quality of registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province were that the staff was not munificent and active in the service for the people and the staff did not pay attention to serve and help the people. Moreover, the staff was serious to the people and inconsistent in the working. The municipality had no the public relations in the information to the people.    

 

          The ways for the development of the registration service and the identity cards at Chum Saeng Municipality in Nakhon Sawan Province were that the staff should be munificent and active in the service for the people and the staff should pay attention to serve and help the people. Moreover, the staff should give the advice to the people with the willingness.  The municipality should have the public relations in the information to the people continuously.
