Abstract
This research aims to study A Buddhism – Based Learning Process Management for Preschool Children in Takfa, Nakhonsawan Province. The objectives of this study include: 1) to study the concepts of A Buddhism – Based Learning Process Managementin school, 2) to study A Buddhism – Based Learning ProcessManagement, and 3) to study A Buddhism – Based Learning Process Managementfor preschool children in Takfa, Nakhonsawan Province. This research had utilized the Qualitative research methodology by making the documentary analysis on both primary data and secondary data including talking with key informants.
The research findings are as follow:
The concepts of learning process in preschool comprises of five fundamental factors: personnel, budget, building, environment, and instructional media. These factors are connected to three processes: 1) learning experience and instruction process, 2) an assessment in child’s development, and 3) human resource development process.
In regards with the first process, the learning experience and instruction process, there are four components: 1) setting goals or objectives, 2) drafting guidelines or concepts, 3) proposing choices for decision making, and 4) being possible and realistic. The second process, the child’s development assessment, should be based on the integrated learning via their playing in order to improve their physical body, emotions, and mind. In reference with the third process, the human resource development process, it consists of recruiting, training, retaining, and replacing.
A Buddhism – Based Learning Process Management involves with the Budda’s teachings which focuses on practicing, self-developing internally and externally including mental, physical, and spiritual development allowing a person to live productively and have satisfying life within the customs and regulations of the society. Some of the Buddha’s teaching, which could be used, consists of the Threefold Learning (Tri-Sikkha) covering the precepts (to keep right action), mind (to keep right speech), and wisdom (to keep right mindfulness).
This study would propose seven processes for A Buddhist – Based Learning Process Management for preschool children as follows: 1) building faith in learning process, 2) building good habits, 3) building kindness, 4) building the Four Iddhipada (the four parts of accomplishment), 5) building the Sammaditthi (the right understanding) which is formed by Yonisomanasikara and Pratokosa, 6) building experience from the real practice, and 7) building a child an opportunity to participate in the Buddhism – Based Learning activities.
