ABSTRACT
This study is experimental research and its objectives are as following:-
(1) To compare the understanding the truth of life of the parents children with chronic illness in experimental group between before and after experiment. (2) To compare the understanding the truth of life of the parents of children with chronic illness between after experiment and one month follow-up period. (3) To compare the depression of parents of children with chronic illness in experimental group before and after experiment. (4) To compare the depression of parents of children with chronic illness between after experiment and one month follow-up period. (5) To compare the understanding the truth of life of parents of children with chronic illness between experimental group and control group, and
(6) To compare the depression of parents of children with chronic illness between experimental group and control group.
The sample of this study is the parents of children with chronic illness who had were screen by depression test and disposed to participate this study. 8 subjects for experimental group and control group were assigned randomly and the subjects of experimental group ware participated the group counseling based on Tri Sakkha. Tools for this study consisted of (1) the truth of life assessment with reliability value=0.762 (2) depression scale with reliability value=0.658 and (3) the evaluation form of service satisfaction. Statistics are used in this study is mean, standard deviation and t-Test.
The Results.
It found that :-
(1) After experiment, the parents of children with chronic illness who were participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha had the level of understanding the truth of life higher than before experiment significantly .01. (2) There is no significant difference on the level of understanding the truth of life of the parents of children with chronic illness who were participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha, between after experiment and one month follow-up.(3) After experiment, the parents of children with chronic illness who were participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha, had lower depression significantly .01. (4) At one month follow-up period, the parents of children with chronic illness who were participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha, had lower depression than after experiment significantly .01. This indicated that the parents of children with chronic illness who were applied Tri Sikkha principle for their life had more capability to accept changing in life, learned to control own mind, and made happiness for life. (5) After experiment, the parents of children with chronic illness, who participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha, had the level of understanding the truth of life than control group significantly .01. (6) After experiment, the parents of children with chronic illness, who participated group counseling based on Tri Sikkha, had lower depression than control group significantly .01.
