A Study of the Relationship between Teachers and Pupils According to six directions in Singalakasutta: A case study of Secondary Schools at Muang Phrae District.

Abstract

                 The objectives of this research were to study the relationship between teachers and pupils in six direction of the doctrine in Singalakasutta, to study the behavior of teachers and pupils in the actual implementation in secondary school (m.1–m.3) in Muang Phrae district, has a relationship to each other and compare the condition the actual performance with the ideological appeared in the six direction in Singalakasutta. By means of Documentary Research and Surveys Research. By exploring occur conditions and use a questionnaire to teachers and pupils in secondary school in Muang Phrae district of 488.The collected data were analyzed by determining the percentage value, the average standard deviation, and the information were to presented by tables for imperative.

                 The results of study found  that  the relationship of teacher to aid pupil in five aspects they were 1) suggestion a good man, 2) good studies, 3) teaching all knowledge of sciences,        4) appreciating as appear to companion, 5) protection all of direction of education. And the relationship of pupil to teacher by also to act five aspects they were 1) have to standing up to respect the teacher, 2) services to the teacher, 3) obey of the teacher’ teaching, 4) look after and take care  to teacher, 5) study with respect to teacher.

                 The results of study the relationship between teachers and pupils in five aspects found that were in the highest level particularly the teachers to aid pupils with a good studies, second the teachers to aid by protect all of direction of education, to aid to good suggestion, aid to appreciate as appear to companion and the teachers should be aid pupils by all knowledge teaching as well. Section the relationship between pupils and teachers in five aspects found indicate that were in the highest level especially in case of the pupils standing up to respect the teachers. The second were pupils acts to the teachers by followed teaching of teachers in moderat level. As pupils to help the teachers, as all business, pupils respect to knowledge studies and the pupils should be respectively treatments and services to the teachers. The overall aspects show that teachers’ opinions on pupils’ behaviors were in middle level, however pupils’ opinions on teachers were in high levels in every aspect. 

                 The comparative study abut the relationship of teachers and pupils in the current conditions with the doctrine's ideological of six direction in Singalakasutta found that nowaday the relationship between teachers and pupils in all five aspect are found all the same, but deeper. May be at present in the context of social changes, such as former pupils a must take care of  their teachers. But today, teachers and pupils will only have the relationship specific in school because of  the  agreements  between  schools and pupils.
