The objectives of this research were 1) to study the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province, 2) to compare the Sangha and monks’s opinions towards the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province by personal factor, and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions on the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province. The sample of the study comprised of 212 from 452 of the sangha and monks in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province by Krejcie & Morgan Techniques. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire and in-depth interview. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics (frequencies, percentage, means and standard deviation). The t-test ,One-Way Analysis of Variance: ANOVA were applied to test significant differences of average between two groups. The F-test was applied for testing significant differences of average between three groups.
The research findings were as follows:
(1) The effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province was at the moderate level (x = 3.28) when considered in each aspects found that sangha administration ( = 3.50) and Buddhist constructions and reparations ( = 3.41) were in the high level. The others such as Buddhist propagation ( = 3.28) Ecclesiastical education ( = 3.50) public welfare ( = 3.20) and Education support ( = 3.05) were at the moderate level.
(2) The comparison of opinions of the Sangha toward the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province classified by personal factor found that the monks who had different age , years of ordination , position , level of general education ,level of Pali studies and level of Dhamma studies had not different opinion in the Sangha toward the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province in significant at 0.05 in the other hand the monks who had different age , years of ordination , position , level of general education had not different opinion in the Sangha toward the effectiveness of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province.
(3) The problems ,obstacles and suggestions of the Sangha administration in Muang Buengkan district, Buengkan province found that
Sangha administration : The Monks lacked of knowledge in sangha administration then should be found out professor to manage this job.
Ecclesiastical education and Education support : no sufficient education fund for monks and novices that should be supported them to study in high level.
Buddhist propagation : the pattern to propagate did not update then should be used many media to apply in this.
Buddhist constructions and reparations : The constructions were built without to remind for useful and lacked of cleaning then should be set fund to take care this job.
Public welfare : lacked of participation with community and did not set career center to promote folk wisdom then should be set procedure plan.
