Abstract

 

          The objectives of this research were to; 1)  study the ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province according to eight moral principles. 2) to study the problems, obstacles  and suggestions  the ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province according to the moral eight principles. 3) the results of the research can be used to guide the refinement the ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province according to  the moral eight principles.

          The research methodology was qualitative research, collecting data from  all 92 students by questionnaires according to  eight moral aspects including  40 items of applying the ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province. The moral eight principles that consisting of 1) Diligence 2) Economized 3 ) Honest 4) Discipline 5) Cleanliness 6 ) Politeness 7) Unity 8) Generosity.  The statistics used were values of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.   

          Findings were as follows :

          1) The  ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province overall were at high level of average of Mean ( =3.89) and each aspects were  at high level . It indicates that the ethical behavior of students in Municipality II (Ban Ladkasang) Sakaew province is the behavior that the people want or refrain from behaviors that violates rules or values ​​in the society.

           2) The problems and obstacles were found that the students lacked diligence because of a peculiar laziness mostly, spending money  extravagantly, lack of rightness , violating the second precept because of the fear of being punished , Lacking of humility  such as not doing  homework , coming to school late , copying homework, talking in the class, no respect to the adults, bad speech, no responsibility to own duty , unlike unity, be think different , be selfish .

          The suggestions were that there should cultivate the habit of integrity respecting by the moral eight principles beginning from parents, schools and teachers

          3) The school should have a policy to promote the education and training that focuses on ethical behavior. And more teaching hours to schools, they should have  a policy to promote the workshop to improve the ethical behavior of students in various fields at least once a year. There should be policy promoting the ethical behavior of each side in the same direction and goal setting and achievement, as well as the evaluation of the progress of the plans and policies of teachers. Teachers in schools should devote themselves to teaching, to be spiritual leaders. To implant principles and doctrines to the mind of the students as much as possible. Schools should allocate time to suit the subject matter content.  Teachers should determine the content of the courses they teach to be appropriate for the class, and should have the plan perfectly. Management focus, with emphasis on teaching students to be critical to make students learn by doing, Generate enthusiasm and motivate for teachers to integrate a variety of teaching methods. And should conduct himself as an example to promote ethical behavior policy consistently to be respectful of the students, both in and outside of school hours as the great spiritual leader.
