ABSTRACT

                    In this research work, there are three objectives namely, 1) to study the model of fostering the children in Buddhist family 2) to study moral behaviors of children in Buddhist family and 3) to study the fostering model that affecting moral behaviors of  Buddhist families children.  The samples consisted of 400 first year students of academe year 2010 of government and private secondary schools in Maung District, Nakhon Pathom Province, and the collected data were analyzed by trequencies, percentage, and standard deviation.

    The research findings were as follows:
       1.  For students’ personal data, it was found that most of students (55.0%) of  Muang District, Nakhon Pathom Province, were females.  They were aged 11-15 years and lived with their parents. Most of their parents (60.75%) were employees. Most of the students (30.75%) obtained GPA of 3.1-3.5 and most of their families (44.75%) have incomes of 5,000 per monts.  Most of their father (69.5%) were the family leaders.
       2. For the fostering form for the children of Buddhist family, It is found that the form of fostering of children in Buddhist family of the first year secondary school students in overall, was in high-level with the mean value of 3.70.
       3. For the moral behaviors of Buddhist family children it was found that moral behaviors of the children in Buddhist family of Loving-kindness and Compassion were in the medium-level with the mean value of 3.40, with their moral behavior of discipline, responsibility, honesty, sacrifice, and economy on the whole, was high-level with the mean values of 3.90, 3.79, 3.96, 3.78 and 3.78 respectirely.
       4. For the factors that affecting the moral behaviors of Buddhist family children, it was found that
          1)    The parents were united to take care, train, and to give them an opportunity to share ideas and decide to plan their life.
          2)    The parents share the responsibility with their children.
          3)    The parents teach the children to speak truth and to be grateful to others.
          4)    The parents praise and encourage them when the children do good.
          5)    The parents give them love and warmth and give them what they like.

     For the format of children fostering, It can be summarized that the warm family can make the children believe and follow the order more than any other things.  When the children are given love and warmth by their parents, they will feel that they are give love and them patents’ requests will be followed on behalf of the love.  In  other words, the children will understand that the commitment orders, rules and regulations from the parents are meant for their own benefits only.
